1st Annual Senior Women’s Cricket Tournament
SCWCA is excited to announce that several of our players will compete in the Senior Women Cricket League’s inaugural cricket tournament near Atlanta, GA on Nov. 15th – 16th, 2025.
Atlanta is a hot-spot for the sport and the perfect home for this first-of-its-kind senior women’s cricket tournament in the United States.
The SWCL Georgia Chapter will host the SWCL ATL Open 2025 at the Lithonia Park Cricket Field.
SWCL’s Atlanta Chapter will face-off against its Tampa chapter over three T20 matches and one T10 match.

The Future of U.S. Senior Women’s Cricket
As cricket grows in the United States in anticipation of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, we hope to see more events like this for the untapped and thriving adult women’s cricket fanbase.
With the dramatic success of the recent ODI Women’s World Cup 2025, the demand for women’s cricket events has never been higher.
The more people that play cricket, the more people fall in love with cricket. Creating opportunities for senior women cricketers now will ensure a stronger future for cricket in the United States.
Senior Women Cricket League
The Senior Women Cricket League was formed with the goal of organizing events for women cricketers aged 30+. Its founders recognized that adult women players rarely get opportunities to play competitive leatherball cricket, and they decided to do something about that.
Accordingly, the groundbreaking event this weekend prioritizes women cricket players aged 30+, with remaining spots filled by local youth girl players.
Indeed, the Senior Women Cricket League’s 1st Annual Tournament is the first of its kind: a leatherball cricket tournament specifically for adult and master’s women cricketers.
