DESCRIPTION:Women’s cricket season is still in full swing and we’re inviting all women players to join SoCal Women’s Cricket Association for our fifth event in Orange County\, CA. We’re hosting a practice women’s cricket match in Irvine\, CA on Sunday August 27\, from 11 am to 1 pm.  \n\n\n\nPlease RSVP for the exact field location. \n\n\n\nOur last event consisted of a fun practice cricket match and we’ll follow the same format. Last match\, the cricketer with the highest number of runs scored a $25 gift card\, while the lady cricketer with the most 4’s scored a bonus $5 gift card.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll start off with fielding\, bowling\, and batting warm-up\, and then get the match going. Each lady will bat for 3 overs (18 balls). We’ll bat from one side and the batswoman can run to score and walk back. We’ll have the boundary marked out to regulation\, so you can also score 4’s and 6’s. Everybody else will play as fielders\, the bowler\, or the wicketkeeper. You can actually bowl or just pitch the ball\, as long as the ball gets to the batter. \n\n\n\nThe cricketer with the highest number of runs wins a prize! \n\n\n\nPlease bring your cricket kit if you have it. We’ll provide cricket bats\, balls\, and other equipment for players who don’t have gear.  \n\n\n\nThe forecast will once again be sunny and warm in Irvine\, CA\, so come dressed to play cricket in the heat and bring a couple of water bottles. \n\n\n\nOur practice matches are fun\, free\, and welcoming. Newcomers and women cricket players of all skill levels can join\, and bring your friends too! Once they hit the ball once\, they’ll be hooked!
